We have a Mesorah dating back to Har Sinai to educate our children.  As we recite every day in Shema, “v’ sheenantam levanecha v’dibarta bam,” teach your children and speak about Torah, “b’shivtecha b’veisecha u’ velechtecha ba’derach,” when you are sitting at home and when you are traveling on the way.  Our obligation to provide our children with proper chinuch is clear. It is so strong, in fact, that Torah mandates that if parents are unable to be mechanech their children themselves, they should hire someone to provide it on their behalf.  If you are contemplating fulfilling the obligation yourself, although it is an awesome responsibility, it can be done!  Below you will find a growing list of websites and resources to help you along the way in providing a Jewish education for your child at home.
